A late afternoon fire has engulf the Ministry of Works building around the Tafawa Balewa Square area of Lagos.
The fire Daily Sun learnt started at about 5pm and immediately an alert was sent out and the Federal and State fire services responded promptly.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)spokesman Ibrahim Farinloye said cause of fire remains unknown, explaining that the fire affected parts of the ground floor that housed the Federal Ministry of works productivity centre and Bank of Industry cooperative section.
Farinloye said the fire was put out at about 7pm adding that no life was lost and no one was injured.
