2face’s handful of world class videos
2face signed a multi-million naira deal with 960 Music group to launch
hypertek digital and released his most videos ever in his OVER 17 YEARS
career. With videos including world class visual for songs like:
diaspora woman feat, fally ipupa, let somebody love you, spiritual
healing, dance in the rain, rainbow remix feat. tpain. Talk about
putting money where your mouth is or where our eyes are!

‘Face 2 Face’ album Re-issue
2face scored another deal with Kennis Music to re-issue his biggest
album to date. Not very many acts can go back to the label that launched
them to limelight but 2face through 960music group and Hypertek digital
secured a deal to release a new album titled “Rewind, Select and
Update” in commemoration of the landmark 10th Anniversary of
record-breaking ‘Face 2 Face’ album which had the ‘African queen’ track
and he has since released a remix of ‘Nfana Ibaga’

Biggest Joint Endorsement deal This Year
2Baba bagged a hennessy artistry deal alongside Wizkid with those in the know saying. The deal is on to be one of the
most expensive in the history of the annual campaign,as it involved
scoring two a-list acts and taking them around the globe, touring
including South AFrica, Ghana and beyond. Ching Ching, money in the
bank!

Bagged a handful of non-Nigerian collabos
2face continued his reign as one of the most vertiable export item with a
handful of collaborations from non-Nigerian and international acts.
2face teamed up with t-Pain on ‘Rainbow’ remix and had T-Pain return the
favour on a track which also featured Akon titled ‘If I Got It.’ In
addition to his collaboration with Bridget Kelly, and Fally Ipupa. The
world was 2face’s oyster.

Released his sixth studio album – The Ascension
2Baba finalized tracks in the studio to released his sixth studio album,
which was titled ‘The Ascension’ in the year, An impressive body of
work which critics called his most quinessential work yet — The album
features Bridget Kelly, Fally Ipupa, Vector, Iceberg Slim and Dammy
Krane. It retails on Spinlet, iTunes and Spotify.

Album climbed to 12th Top Selling Album In The World
Billboard Magazine listed the music star’s six studio album – “The
Ascension” as one of the top selling albums for a week holding the
number 12 spot. So exciting,

2face shared stage with int’l acts
Making music is one thing, performing them on stage with collaborator is
another. Other Nigerian acts have scored int’l collaborations even with
the likes of Rick Ross, T.I., Tenie Tempah, Meek Mills but now alot
have shared the stage with them to perform the said collaborations but
2face performed his int’l collaborations with T-Pain and Michel Montana.
While he performed with Mr. Montana at the St. Kitts Music Festival,
he performed with T-Pain at the AAFRIMMA Awards in the US earlier in the
year.

2face teams up with Joe-EL..
This should fall under an achievement for Joe EL but it makes our list
of achievement for 2face as not only played the bigger brother to
re-affirm why his spot in the annals of history can’t be touched even by
one critics have called a ploy to replace him by his former label.
Kennis Music artiste Joe El who faces criticism for his physical and
musical similarities to 2face has shocked many by enlisting 2face Idibia
himself for a new single titled “Hold On” which surfaced in the year.

#BringBackOurGirls with Int’l acts
2face spearheaded a #bringbackourgirl campaign that not only featured
local stars but cross border act like Precision Productions (Trinidad
& Tobago), Samini (Ghana), K-Slim, PKD, Squadee (Ghana), Spyke,
Sound Sultan, Essence, Righteousman, Joe El, Ferre Galo (DRC) and Machel
Montano (Trinidad & Tobago). This was done with a galaxy of stars
under the umbrella of 2face Idibia’s Million Voices for Peace (MVP)
project have recorded a song to articulate their call for peace and
unity and raise funds to support the work of the Nigerian Red Cross.

2face welcomed his second child
and of course, 2face’s big year began on January 4th when Baby Olivia
was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is the 2nd child of her
mother – actress Annie Macauley-Idibia and the 7th for her dad – the
esteemed musician 2Face. The couple, who got married in March 2013, have
another daughter together – Isabella – who is 5 years old.
