UNILAG Students Bagged A PhD At Age 24

This is the first time a shocking thing like this has happened in Nigeria’s educational sector, as history was made today in Lagos as a 24-year-old man, Olaoluwa Hallowed Oluwadara, was today presented with the award of overall best graduating student in the University of Lagos postgraduate school, with a PhD in Mathematics.

The Dean of Postgraduate School, Prof. Obinna Chukwu introduced the young man to the amazement of all as his achievements seem impossible for a 24-year-old. Had the Dean not announced his age himself, many would still doubt if Hallowed is actually 24. The new amazing Doctor bagged a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics in 2007, graduating with 1st Class honors.

There is no doubt that Oluwadara apparently ran his degree in Mathematics the same time he was studying Physics, as he also graduated with a 1st class honors degree in Physics in the same year. On the second day of its convocation ceremonies, graduated 105 Ph.D. students, one M.Phil., 4,380 M.Sc. and 335 PGD students. Congratulations to the young man.
